Sanitary Air Relief Valve
Donjoy Sanitary Air Relief Valve is a reliable, automatic air – relief valve which is installed vertically on the top of a pipeline or container, or before the inlet of a pump, where air releasing is required. Hygienic stainless steel design, used in the dairy, food, beverage, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. The valve body is composed of two parts and assembled by a clamp. The lower body has a welding/clamp tube.
Application
Sanitary Air Relief Valve is a reliable automatic exhaust valve, on-demand to clear the air, mounted vertically on top of the pipe or vessel, or at the inlet of the pump at the installation.
Here below are two examples of applications.
Example 1:Air cavity is formed due to the installation of the pipeline, and thus need to release air. In this case, the valve is installed at the top of the pipe.
Example 2:Discharge air at inside of the pipeline of the pump. When the pump opened the air will be automatically discharged and forming a vacuum.In order to avoid the air mixed with products and the appearance of cavitation. In this case, the valve is installed in front of the pump, on top of the inlet pipe.
Operating Principles
The air Release valve is a double-seat valve with a freely movable plastic ball. The ball, which is lighter than water, According to the conditions of pressure to close the upper or lower valve seat.
Pressure conditions
Condition 1,
The pressure, air, or air/products mixture. The ball is lifted from the lower seat. The air be released when the product lifts the ball against the upper seat, closing the valve.
Condition2,
vacuum, air or product, or air/products mixture. The ball moves forwards the lower seat, closing the valve, whether it contains air/product mixture or air/product.
Note:
-Product density must be higher than the ball density.
-Vertical installation.
-Pure products.
