The butterfly valve is used to control or shut off fluid by the valve disc. A Sanitary butterfly valve is different from an industrial butterfly valve, it normally uses high purity stainless steel 304 or 316L and the inside surface is well polished, not retaining the fluid. Usually used in food processing and beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical industries.
Material
DONJOY Sanitary butterfly valve uses stainless steel as the body material and disc, with SS304, SS316L.
Valve body and disc are integral forged processing and machining by CNC machines, stronger and better than casting.

Surface roughness
Sanitary application requires better surface roughness, inside mirror polish treatment, roughness RA 0.8 μm default. (Mep Ra 0.6 μm, Eep Ra 0.4 μm ). Outside matt RA 1.2μm default.

The hole for the pull handle means the position, 3 holes means open, middle open, close, 3 positions.
